A New Beginning!

As much time as I spend on the computer - many people think I really know what I'm doing. But I don't and this blogging thing is something I've wanted and planned to do for a long time....but it's gonna be a BIG learning curve for me.

One thing I've found out about myself over the years is that I don't like to do things I don't already know how to do pretty well. The motivation has to be strong enough to get me out of my comfort zone....so here I go!

My daughter-in-laws have been blogging for a Long Time! And I LOVE reading their blogs! I'm not much for chatting on the phone and I don't want them to feel like I'm checking up on them by calling all the time - but I really do love to be able to quickly click on their blogs and see what my kids' families are doing. They make me laugh and smile and sometimes even cry....I really miss them sometimes.

So - Nat & Mel - you inspire me!....in soooo many ways. You're both wonderful Moms and love my sons and grandsons and I am grateful to you and love you both for that. OK - tears are flowing....yes, I'm mushy. My kids friends when they were little used to call me 'waterworks'....'nuff said.

Brian bought me a new pocket camera for Mother's Day....something else I've been wanting for a while. I truly don't ask for 'things' very often....I feel I'm already overly blessed with lots of stuff. I already had a nice digital camera - but I've never been 'friendly' with it and it was too big to just carry with me most of the time. And it was waaay to complicated for me. So - I told Brian that I really wanted a little, simple, lightweight camera that I could just take quick pics to put on this blog. This little camera is just a little bigger than my cell phone but it still has more buttons and functions and doodads than I'll ever figure out. Just breathe - I'll learn....

Just FYI - Brian (my husband) is a Professional Photographer (and he's AMAZING! - see his website) and he has 4 (or maybe 5?) 'wambang top of the line' cameras and LOVES and understands all the gizmos and wizbang things they do. And it's a good thing, because that's pretty essential to his photography business. Me - I'd like to have a camera that I can literally just 'point & shoot'. In this case, in our marriage - with cameras - opposites definitely attract!

That's enough for now.....I'll be back in the next day or 2!
